Multiplication and word problems

Multiplication is a faster way of adding the same number again and again. I learned to identify timetables.

First you have to look for the group size which is 3 .

Melanie worked 3 hours for 5 days. How many hours did she work in total?

Then you look for the number of groups which is 5.

The picture below shows the equation which is 5 x 3= 15.
